If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together, there is something you must always remember.
You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think;
but the most important thing is, even if we're apart,
I will always be with you.

The Elephant in the Room and a Song

I was talking with a friend tonight and told her about this poem so I just wanted to share it with you... it says what I want to say to people when they think that my "I'm fine." is a good enough answer and go on their way... So here it is...

The Elephant in the Room
by Terry Kettering

There's an elephant in the room.
It is large & squatting,
so it's hard to get around it.

Yet we squeeze by with,
"How are you?" and "I'm fine".
And a thousand other trivial chatter.

We talk about the weather;
We talk about work;
We talk about everything else --
except the elephant in the room.

There's an elephant in the room.
We all know it's there.
We are all thinking about the elephant
as we talk together.

It is constantly on our minds.
For, you see, it is a very big elephant
It has hurt us all, but we do not talk about
the elephant in the room.

Oh please, say his name~
Oh please, say "(Kaelen)" again.
Oh please, let's talk about
the elephant in the room.

For if we can talk about his death,
Perhaps we can talk about his life...
Can I say "(Kaelen)" to you
and not have you look away?
For if I cannot,
then you are leaving me
Alone... in a room... with an elephant.

And here is a song I heard today that spoke to me...

I love you little man... Mommy still misses you and wishes you were here everyday. Sleep tight little one. Lots of hugs and kisses on angels wings, baby... lots and lots...
