- Seeing my little man, Kaelen open and close his eyes on the 3D ultrasound we had done and how stubborn you were about waking up and moving your hands and feet out of your face on the first 3D ultrasound we had done so we got to have 2 instead.
- How his big sister Marrah would go get the doppler almost every morning in bed and ask to "listen baby brother".
- How she would ask to "watch baby brother" and still does on the DVD player from the ultrasound we got done.
- Marrah and Mommy singing to you in the car everyday that we drove somewhere.
- Marrah and Mommy singing you to sleep every night with "Golden Slumbers" and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".
- The way Marrah would come a kiss my tummy and say hi to you sending lots of love to her little brother.
- The way she would "sit on you" in my tummy whenever she wanted "uppy". We always used to laugh that she was sitting on her little brother...
- The first ultrasound we had done at 16 weeks (with Daddy and Marrah there) when we realized you had little man parts and we were so happy to have a little boy joining our family.
- How stubborn you were at your 20 week ultrasound and the technician kept switching between thinking you were a girl to a boy and back because you wouldn't open your legs.
- How you made me want to eat pickles, pickles and more pickles.
- Going to the Wiggles concert with you, your sister and Daddy... how you kicked up a storm the entire time in mommy's belly... obviously you liked the music as much as your big sister does.
- Trying to pick out a Halloween costume for you... just in case you came early... since Halloween is Mommy's favourite event. Since you weren't here yet, you got to go incognito as Mommy's Tummy with Marrah and all her little friends.
- Trying to get maternity pictures with Aunty Jenn and how cold it was that day and how no matter how we coaxed her, your little sister was being as stubborn as you and wouldn't give you kisses on camera.
- Laying in bed every night, just feeling you wiggle and kick and waiting for the day when you would do that in my arms.
- The way you would push your foot into my ribcage on the right side and I'd always tell you that wasn't the way out so to stop poking and I would laugh...
- The way it felt to hold you in my arms when you were born... You were so warm and yet so silent... you looked so much like your sister and yet so different... I wish you could have opened your eyes and looked at mommy just once.
- The way your Daddy held you in his arms and looked at you so lovingly, wishing you were looking up at him too.
- The way your little sister patted your little head so gently. I wish she could have held you...
If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together, there is something you must always remember.
You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think;
but the most important thing is, even if we're apart,
I will always be with you.
